Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Connecticut
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt assessment and therapy to a diverse student population

Role Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders using standardized assessments and clinical observation
  • Develop tailored treatment plans targeting student-specific speech and language goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy in individual and small-group settings
  • Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, progress, and therapy outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert guidance to support student educational needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and support staff for comprehensive student care
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive environment that fosters student growth
