Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Connecticut
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt assessment and therapy to a diverse student population
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders using standardized assessments and clinical observation
- Develop tailored treatment plans targeting student-specific speech and language goals
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy in individual and small-group settings
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, progress, and therapy outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert guidance to support student educational needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and support staff for comprehensive student care
