Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school-based setting. You'll work in collaboration with educators and support staff to help students overcome communication challenges, empowering them to succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but those in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) will also be considered
- Familiarity with school-based therapy, IEPs, and pediatric caseloads
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Compassion and patience when working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals in accordance with IEPs
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate regularly with teachers, parents, and other school professionals
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation of therapy, progress, and outcomes
- Offer guidance and support to classroom teachers regarding communication strategies
