School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Boston, Massachusetts
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students this summer as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Work in a dynamic educational setting near Boston, MA, during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This role is perfect for professionals passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and looking for a structured, short-term assignment.
Three SLPs are needed to join for the program running from July 6th to August 14th, 2026. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 12:00pm, totaling 14 hours per week.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license in Massachusetts
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience working within a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Comfortable developing and implementing IEPs and collecting progress data
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students as mandated by their IEPs
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with educational teams and parents to support student growth
- Document session notes, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Tailor interventions to each student’s unique needs and learning goals
