Step into a dynamic opportunity working with elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Lawrence area. This contract role offers the flexibility to plan your own schedule across two local schools while making a direct impact on students' growth and communication skills. With a manageable caseload and supportive environment, you'll be able to focus on both therapy and evaluations, contributing your expertise where it truly matters.
Key qualifications and experiences desired:
- Valid Kansas SLP license (Clinical Fellowship applicants welcome; SLPAs not accepted for this opening)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or active pursuit of CCC if a CF
- Previous experience providing speech and language services in a school-based setting, preferably with elementary age children
- Strong assessment, therapy planning, and documentation skills
- Confident communicator, flexible collaborator, and compassionate in working with diverse student needs
- Ability to adapt to a multi-site schedule and independently manage caseload and workflow
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Conduct timely and thorough evaluations, update progress reports, and maintain required documentation
- Develop and implement IEP goals, collaborating with educators and families to support student success
- Split schedule between two schools, allowing for autonomy in planning your day
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative school environment

This is a full-time, onsite assignment during the 2026-2027 school year with a consistent 37.5-hour workweek and hands-on engagement with a vibrant student community.
