A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support students from early childhood through 8th grade in a K–8 school setting in Calumet City, IL. This is a contract opportunity lasting through the 2025–2026 school year, with a schedule of 33.75 hours per week. The position requires on-site work with no virtual or remote options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized speech and language therapy to a caseload of students from early childhood through 8th grade.
  • Conduct assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans in compliance with educational standards.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student communication goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all therapy sessions and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement or Speech-Language Pathologist license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience working in a school setting with K–8 students is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently.
