Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Florida SLP license or eligibility to obtain
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY applicants welcome
- Experience in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver engaging therapy sessions for students with a variety of communication needs
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and assessment results
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate communication goals into academic settings
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing input on student progress and recommended supports
- Educate staff and families about speech and language disorders and effective intervention strategies
- Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in school-based speech therapy
Available assignments include a position at Coral Springs Charter School offering four days per week (32 hours), and an opening at Renaissance Charter School at Plantation for five days per week (40 hours).
