Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Paterson, New Jersey

As the primary speech instructor, you’ll provide targeted therapy twice a week in 20-minute sessions, running from March 17 through June. This role presents an excellent fit for clinicians experienced with pediatric populations, including CCC-certified SLPs, those currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year, or candidates with school-based and healthcare backgrounds.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Speech-Language Pathology license (state requirements must be met)
- ASHA CCC-SLP or eligibility for CFY supervision
- Demonstrated experience with pediatric and/or school-based caseloads
- Comfort and skill in delivering services in the home environment
- Strong communication with families and ability to document student progress
In this position, you will:
- Plan and deliver compensatory speech therapy tailored to individual student needs
- Implement and monitor effective strategies, adapting interventions as needed
- Maintain thorough session records and track progress toward goals
- Liaise with families, answering questions and providing updates on student growth
