Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification required
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution required
- ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure strongly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of special education laws, rules, and regulations
- Strong understanding of pediatric/adolescent cognitive and physical development, as well as associated diagnostic instruments
- Familiarity with terminology related to physical and learning disabilities
- Ability to analyze data, and interpret relevant laws, policies, and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized intervention plans for students in accordance with IEPs and legal standards
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ speech, language, and communication progress
- Document services and maintain accurate records according to regulatory requirements
- Provide ongoing consultation and training to staff members as needed
- Serve as an advocate for student needs across a multi-site caseload
