This dynamic role features a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students, allowing you to focus on delivering personalized, high-quality interventions. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to create inclusive, supportive learning environments.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) Speech Language Pathologist certificate required
- Successful completion of background check through ALSDE
- Experience working with school-aged populations (Pre-K–12th grade) preferred
- Knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
- Ability to adapt approaches for diverse student needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and ancillary staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy as needed
- Foster a positive and motivating environment for students
