Located in the Carbon and Lehigh County area, this dynamic contract role offers the opportunity to support students' communication development by working directly within the school setting. With the flexibility to serve both preschool and, potentially, school-age students during the academic year, adaptability is essential.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active Pennsylvania SLP license (required).
- SLP-CCC with experience in school-based settings or early intervention.
- Current educator credential (Instructional I or II) in Pennsylvania.
- Previous experience working across preschool and K-12 settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Comfortable with itinerant travel across multiple sites as caseload requires.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to preschool children, fostering strengths-based communication growth.
- Assess, plan, and document individualized therapy interventions, maintaining compliance with early intervention and school age requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records in accordance with state and program regulations.
- adapt to changing assignments between preschool and school-age caseload as needed throughout the academic year.
What’s Offered:
- Contract assignment, scheduled for 35 hours per week.
- Opportunity to work a full school-year calendar, with tentative dates from July 6, 2026, through June 11, 2027.
