Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
- Strong command of laws and regulations governing services for students with disabilities and other regulated programs
- Knowledge of pediatric and adolescent cognitive, physical, and psychological development and assessment tools
- Familiarity with terminology related to physical and learning disabilities
- Skilled in compiling and analyzing data, interpreting relevant policies and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and education plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state and federal standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
