Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Bessemer, AL

Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active or eligible SLP license in Alabama
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals tailored to each student
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services across caseloads
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with special education regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers for holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development as required
- Provide support and strategies to classroom staff for generalization of communication goals
