School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Berlin, Maryland

Step into a meaningful contract role supporting young learners within a school-based environment. In this position, you’ll make a daily impact by providing speech-language services in a collaborative setting. Working alongside another SLP, you’ll manage a caseload of 40-50 students from PreK3 through 3rd grade with mild to moderate disabilities, focusing on both small group and individual interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Maryland Department of Health Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication needs common in early elementary students
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students with varying needs in both 1:1 and small group settings
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress notes
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and other staff to support student learning and participation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise for effective goal-setting and outcomes
- Adapt intervention strategies based on data collected and student progress
