Travel SLP in Bel Air, MD
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in school settings is needed for a travel opportunity serving the Baltimore area, Maryland. This role offers a dynamic caseload including preschool, elementary, and middle school students across various community and school locations. The assignment includes both full-time and part-time positions with options to extend into Extended School Year (ESY) sessions in July 2026.
Position Details:
- Start dates between January and March 2026, with contracts running through May and June, plus optional ESY coverage
- Full-time: 37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday (2 positions)
- Part-time: 30 hours/week, Monday through Thursday; possibility to extend to 5 days/week (1 position)
- Work locations: Community Preschools (itinerant), Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week), Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week), and Aberdeen Middle School
- Caseload includes preschool through middle school students (PreK-8th grade), with supervision responsibilities for an SLPA
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Ability to pass district background check and fingerprinting per House Bill 486 requirements
- Experience working in school environments preferred
- Willingness to travel to various assigned schools in the Baltimore area
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in supervising supporting services staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology evaluations, therapy, and progress reporting aligned with student IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student development
- Supervise SLPA to ensure effective service delivery
- Manage scheduling and itinerant caseloads across multiple sites
