Join a dynamic educational setting in Bel Air, MD, providing essential Speech Language Pathology services to diverse student populations. This contract position supports multiple school sites within the Baltimore area, focusing on preschool through middle school-aged children. The role involves both full-time and part-time opportunities, catering to professionals dedicated to fostering communication skills in young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to preschool, elementary (PreK–5), and secondary (6–8) students.
- Provide itinerant support across community preschool locations.
- Work at Magnolia Elementary and Prospect Mill Elementary on a part-time basis (3 days and 2 days per week, respectively).
- Support Aberdeen Middle School students with direct therapy and collaborate closely with School-based Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), including supervision responsibilities.
- Maintain compliance with district policies and credentialing requirements, including background checks and employment history reviews.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure for Speech Language Pathology.
- Knowledge of speech and language development, assessment, and intervention strategies suitable for ages preschool through middle school.
- Ability to supervise SLPA services effectively.
- Experience working within school settings preferred; 0-10+ years of experience considered.
- Eligibility to complete district-mandated background checks and fingerprinting.
Location and Schedule:
- On-site work required in Bel Air, MD, serving schools in the Baltimore area.
- Full-time positions offer 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Part-time position offers 30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with the potential to extend to five days.
- Contract terms run from January/February through late May or June, with possible extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026.
