This contract position supports multiple school sites within the Baltimore area, focusing on preschool through middle school-aged children. The role involves both full-time and part-time opportunities, catering to professionals dedicated to fostering communication skills in young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to preschool, elementary (PreK–5), and secondary (6–8) students.
  • Provide itinerant support across community preschool locations.
  • Work at Magnolia Elementary and Prospect Mill Elementary on a part-time basis (3 days and 2 days per week, respectively).
  • Support Aberdeen Middle School students with direct therapy and collaborate closely with School-based Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), including supervision responsibilities.
  • Maintain compliance with district policies and credentialing requirements, including background checks and employment history reviews.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Maryland Professional Licensure for Speech Language Pathology.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development, assessment, and intervention strategies suitable for ages preschool through middle school.
  • Ability to supervise SLPA services effectively.
  • Experience working within school settings preferred; 0-10+ years of experience considered.
  • Eligibility to complete district-mandated background checks and fingerprinting.

Location and Schedule:

  • On-site work required in Bel Air, MD, serving schools in the Baltimore area.
  • Full-time positions offer 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Part-time position offers 30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with the potential to extend to five days.
  • Contract terms run from January/February through late May or June, with possible extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026.
