Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Bel Air, Maryland
This travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant K-12 school setting in a waterfront city in Maryland known for its marinas and boating. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
- Develop accurate diagnoses and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor progress and adapt treatment strategies accordingly.
- Educate and support students and families on communication disorders and strategies for improvement.
- Maintain precise documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress notes, complying with all legal and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with school personnel and healthcare professionals to optimize student care and participate in multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Maryland state licensure as an SLP or eligibility for licensure.
- Certification as a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
