Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication and learning in a contract-based role near Indianapolis, IN. This opportunity allows a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to work with school-aged populations and help students thrive both in and out of the classroom environment.
In this engaging role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to assess and address speech, language, and communication challenges. There is the potential for involvement in current school year (CSY), extended school year (ESY), and into the 2026/27 school term, allowing for extended practice and the ability to make lasting connections with students and staff.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- State of Indiana SLP licensure (or willingness to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Comfortable with a variety of communication disorders and intervention strategies
- Excellent collaboration and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Screen, evaluate, and diagnose speech and language disorders among students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and allied staff to support academic and social success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide clear, effective communication regarding progress and needs
- Provide both direct and consultative services as outlined in student plans
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines for documentation
