Speech Therapist in Bear, DE
A summer 2026 contract position is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide services in a K-12 educational setting in Bear, DE. This role involves working with students across multiple locations and age groups, supporting speech and language development during the Extended School Year (ESY) session.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware SLP license is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CF), but not Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA)
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment
- Commitment to working Monday through Thursday for the duration of the contract
Location: Bear, Delaware within the specified school district
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language pathology services to diverse student populations at different sites including elementary, secondary, early childhood, and ages 18-22 programs
- Follow daily schedules ranging from early morning to mid-afternoon depending on the site
- Collaborate with educational staff to support individualized student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all licensing and district regulations
- Participate in ESY program from June 22, 2026, through August 7, 2026
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday, 7:05 AM to 2:35 PM with a 30-minute paid lunch (hours vary by site)
- 4 different openings with various caseloads and site-specific schedules
Additional Information:
- Candidates must cover an $85 fingerprinting clearance fee
- Submission requires Delaware SLP license and resume for consideration
- Reference checks are required for paraprofessional roles
