Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Battle Creek, MI
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students’ growth in the heart of Michigan. We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with PreK and Kindergarten learners for the entire academic year, starting August 24, 2026, and concluding June 10, 2027. This position offers flexibility, with full-time hours up to 40 per week, and consideration for part-time or hybrid schedules (higher onsite presence is preferred). All candidates must be available for in-person work. Assignments will be finalized by August 22, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan SLP license required (please submit a screenshot as proof; license verification tool available)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Recent experience in a school-based setting, particularly with early childhood or primary students
- Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and related compliance
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with staff, students, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to PreK and Kindergarten students, using individualized and group-based interventions
- Conduct thorough assessments and participate in IEP meetings
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
- Contribute expertise to staff consultations and parent communications
