Speech Therapist in Ridgeway, VA
A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary students with speech and language impairments in Ridgeway, VA. This contract position is focused on delivering essential speech therapy services for the 2023-2024 school year, with flexible scheduling options and the possibility to work onsite or virtually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students identified with Speech Language Impairment (SLI) and those receiving speech-language services.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Monitor progress and communicate effectively with educators, parents, and other team members.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student success both in-person and through virtual therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure or certification appropriate for school settings.
- Experience working with children in an elementary school environment.
- Proven skills in providing both onsite and virtual speech therapy.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 8 students with SLI, 6 students receiving services.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Location:
- Ridgeway, VA – Meadows of Dan Elementary School
Schedule and Workload:
- Approximately 15-20 hours per week.
- Flexible scheduling to balance workload and therapy delivery preferences.
- Contract position for the current school year with opportunity for extension.
