We are seeking an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide services at the elementary level in a collaborative, supportive school environment. You’ll work on-site, serving primarily at Lemasters Elementary and may assist at a second school as needed, supporting a diverse group of students—many of whom use AAC devices or require non-verbal communication interventions.
Your role will offer meaningful engagement as you help children communicate, connect, and grow. The district values flexibility, so adaptability is highly prized as you help meet evolving student needs.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active Missouri SLP or SLPA license required
- Experience in schools preferred, but not mandatory
- Familiarity with AAC devices and supporting non-verbal students is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting and submit TCN number per district requirements
- Ability to sign and return a standard technology form
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy for a caseload of students (approximately 3400 service minutes)
- Design and implement intervention plans tailored for elementary-age children
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain timely documentation
- Offer flexible support between one or two school sites as needed
