Utilize your expertise as an SLP or SLPA to support elementary-aged children, including many who are non-verbal and benefit from AAC devices. This on-site contract offers the opportunity to work closely within one or two school communities, fostering strong relationships and delivering consistent care.
Role Highlights:
- Work in a supportive school environment—primarily at Lemasters Elementary, with the possibility to help at another nearby school as needs evolve.
- Manage approximately 3400 service minutes for a diverse student population, collaborating with educators and families to facilitate communication success.
- Flexibility is key, as district needs and assignments may shift; your adaptability will be highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Missouri SLP or SLPA license (required).
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary students, especially those who are non-verbal or use AAC devices.
- Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprinting (must provide TCN) and submitting a signed technology form.
- Dedication to collaborative, student-centered practice and effective team communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech/language therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs.
- Develop engaging, evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with school staff and families.
- Support flexible district priorities, stepping in to assist at another location if required.
