Pediatric School-Based SLP | Aurora, Illinois
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide school-based services within an elementary education setting in Aurora, IL. This contract assignment runs through June 30, 2026, offering an opportunity to work with a diverse caseload across two different sites serving students from early childhood through 7th grade. The position is itinerant, requiring travel between sites with details provided by the district.
Responsibilities include delivering direct speech-language therapy, conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations, developing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and actively participating in IEP meetings. The caseload consists of approximately 40 students, and standard school-based SLP duties are expected throughout the week.
Key qualifications and experience required:
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Ability and willingness to travel between sites as an itinerant clinician
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school and healthcare settings preferred
- Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY) in speech-language pathology
- Compliance with fingerprinting and background check requirements prior to start
This role operates on a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with no positions available for clinical fellows (CF), Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA), or assistants.
