Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Des Plaines, IL
An exciting opportunity is available for Speech Language Pathologists fluent in both English and Spanish to serve multiple school locations within the Chicago area. This full-time, on-site contract position focuses on delivering speech-language services primarily for early childhood students, with itinerant opportunities across multiple sites.
Location: Elgin, IL (Chicago Area)
Contract Duration: January 5, 2026 – May 20, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)
Assignment: Services primarily at early childhood centers, with caseload distributed across several sites including IL Park, Independence, and Timber Trails Elementary, with itinerant evaluation responsibilities as needed. Caseload locations may vary, requiring flexibility to travel between schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services tailored to early childhood student populations.
- Conduct evaluations and provide individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals.
- Provide services across multiple schools as assigned (itinerant role possible).
- Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to district and state standards.
Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement.
- Valid Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license required.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish essential.
- New graduates (CFs) will be considered with supervision provided.
- Commitment to working exclusively on-site; remote work is not available for this position.
