A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in Aurora, Illinois, offering a dynamic caseload across various educational settings. This itinerant role operates within a school environment, providing services both onsite and through virtual consultations (VOCO) to meet diverse student needs. The schedule is full-time at 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities include delivering speech-language pathology services to students ranging from early childhood to junior high across multiple specialized programs. These encompass general education high school students, early childhood and elementary autism, elementary multi-needs, emotional disturbance/behavior disorders (ED/BD), transition services, self-contained autism classrooms, general education K–5, K–1, and grades 5–6. The role demands flexibility in service delivery models, including direct therapy and consultative approaches.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- State of Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Experience working within educational settings, particularly with diverse caseloads including autism spectrum disorders and multi-needs students
- Ability to deliver services both onsite and virtually
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
