We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct speech services in a contract position, working onsite near Aurora, CO. This role specifically involves working with one student at a private school, in collaboration with district-level support, ensuring continuity of care and the completion of required service hours, including makeup sessions from earlier in the semester.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for Colorado.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Experience delivering school-based speech therapy preferred.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and the annual review process.
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in private/parochial schools is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 90 minutes of speech therapy per month for a designated 8th-grade student.
- Provide makeup services for sessions missed in September and October to ensure all IEP-mandated hours are fulfilled.
- Attend and participate in the annual IEP review meeting scheduled in April.
- Collaborate closely with both public and private school staff for seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of services, progress, and communication as required.
- Work onsite exclusively, ensuring a hands-on, consistent approach with the student.
