Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Aurora, CO
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a valued Speech-Language Pathology professional supporting students in the Denver area. Two unique assignments are available in local schools—both offering the chance to make a meaningful difference for children as part of a collaborative and dedicated educational community.
One position, starting as soon as possible, requires an onsite SLP for a 2.5 day/week schedule through the end of May 2027. This dynamic role involves providing essential coverage across multiple sites, with varied assignments that will change throughout the school year. You’ll work closely with a manageable caseload of 20-25 students, making a direct impact on their communication skills and academic success.
A second, full-time position runs from January through May 2027. Here, either an SLP or an SLPA can thrive—serving groups of 40-45 students at two well-supported schools, transitioning from Aurora Frontier K-8 to Vista PEAK Preparatory in mid-March.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with Speech-Language Pathology Endorsement (or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant credential for one position)
- Recent background check and district fingerprint clearance (required prior to start)
- Proven experience in school-based settings is a plus
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to travel between nearby schools as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging speech-language therapy services to elementary and K-8 students
- Routinely assess student needs and develop individualized goals
- Document progress, contribute to IEPs, and participate in team meetings
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster student success
