Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Athens, GA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged learners in a school-based setting near Athens, GA. If you are a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with your CCC and Georgia SLP licensure, this position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact with a manageable caseload of 30-40 students.
Your work will run from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. You’ll play a key role in helping young students develop their communication abilities within a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Georgia (GA SLP credential)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting or with elementary-aged students is preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload and perform required documentation efficiently
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Track and report student progress; adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals
- Contribute to a positive and productive learning environment
