School Speech Language Pathologist - Arvada, Colorado
Step into a dynamic, school-based Speech-Language Pathology opportunity in the Denver area, supporting students’ communication growth across multiple sites. With two positions available—both vital in fostering student success—you will provide specialized interventions and collaborate closely with educators and families.
One opening is a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist role (2.5 days/week) extending through the entire school year. You’ll deliver in-person services to a changing caseload of 20-25 students, engaging with learners in different school environments as assignments rotate.
The second position starts full time in January. This can be filled by a Speech-Language Pathologist or a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. You’ll work with 40-45 students, beginning at a K-8 school and transitioning to a secondary school in mid-March.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid CO Department of Education Special Service Provider License with Speech Pathologist Endorsement (or SLPA credential for the assistant role)
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to adapt to variable caseloads and school sites
- Commitment to in-person service—no remote options
- Successful completion of district-mandated background check and fingerprinting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions for students with communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
- Provide flexible coverage across multiple schools as caseloads require
