This contract position seeks a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide onsite support at an elementary school in Lafayette, CO. The role involves working directly with students to deliver speech and language therapy services in a school setting, enhancing their communication skills and academic success.
Key Details:
- Location: Lafayette, Colorado (Emerald Elementary)
- Schedule: Three days per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break; totaling 24 hours weekly with some schedule flexibility based on site leadership
- Duration: Immediate start through May 21, 2026
- Caseload: Less than a 1:30 SLP-to-student ratio, focused on student contact days only
- Work Environment: Onsite presence required; candidates must have prior classroom experience in schools
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience in educational speech therapy services
- Ability to collaborate with educators and school staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with student-centered approaches to therapy and progress monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulations
- Participate in meetings and provide professional input regarding speech-language strategies
