Step into a pivotal role supporting high school students with low incidence needs in a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position beginning August 12, 2026, and continuing through October 13, 2026. You’ll provide care for a manageable caseload of 30 students in a well-organized educational environment situated within easy reach of Arlington Heights and Lincolnshire, IL.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state SLP license and ASHA CCCs (or eligibility)
  • Background in school-based therapy, particularly with high school-aged students
  • Experience or training working with low incidence populations (e.g., severe/profound disabilities, complex communication needs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Solid organizational abilities to manage documentation, IEP planning, and caseload efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and deliver targeted speech and language services to high school students with a range of communication needs
  • Develop tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in team meetings
  • Track and document student progress and provide updates to families and school personnel
  • Consult with educators to implement effective classroom accommodations and strategies
  • Offer insights and education on assistive technology and AAC devices as needed
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging therapeutic environment
