A unique opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide onsite support across multiple elementary and middle schools in the Minneapolis area. This contract role focuses on covering maternity leaves within the district while delivering direct speech therapy services in an engaging school environment.
Location: Anoka, MN
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Duration: Varying start and end dates aligned with maternity leaves
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy services to elementary and middle school students following a 3:1 service model (3 weeks direct service, 1 week indirect service)
- Serve students including those in Setting III Community Day Class (CDC) with typical elementary caseloads
- Focus entirely on therapy services, as evaluations are managed by a separate team
- Work across multiple school sites including locations in Brooklyn Center and Blaine, adjusting to part-time onsite needs (.1 to .8 FTE) depending on the school
- Support students in a culturally and linguistically diverse educational setting
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience or willingness to work within a school-based setting
- Candidates can be Certificate of Clinical Fellowship (CF) eligible; SLPA applications will not be considered
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with educational teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
