Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Arnold, MD
A contract position is available for a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person services in an elementary school setting. This role is designed to cover leave through the end of the 2025-2026 school year, offering stability in a collaborative educational environment.
Location: Arnold, Maryland
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy primarily outside the general education classroom.
- Serve a diverse caseload of approximately 45-50 elementary-aged students.
- Address disabilities including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Language Impairment.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Ensure compliance with Maryland’s certification and licensure standards.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each student.
Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in school settings.
- Knowledge of various communication disorders and effective intervention techniques.
- Ability to manage a fluid caseload and adapt to changing student needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must provide services in person; virtual service delivery is not permitted.
Position Details:
- Full-time, 5 days per week (37.5 hours).
- Start date: Immediate availability.
- Contract duration through end of the 2025-2026 school year.
