Step into a dynamic, school-based setting near Ann Arbor, MI, where you'll play a pivotal role supporting students in either an elementary or high school environment. As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, your expertise will be key in helping students develop essential communication skills, both in group settings and one-on-one sessions. This is a full-time, 40 hour-per-week, onsite position, allowing you to collaborate closely with faculty and families to deliver comprehensive speech and language services.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility for licensure in Michigan
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Flexibility to work with students at either the elementary or high school level
- Commitment to promoting student growth and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Deliver direct therapy in both individual and small group formats
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation to comply with school and state requirements
- Provide consultation and resources to educators and families, fostering a supportive learning environment
