Help empower students’ communication and success as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist serving school communities near Ann Arbor, MI! This contract opportunity offers two distinct roles: a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position at the elementary level, and a part-time, 24-hour-per-week position at the high school level—designed for professionals passionate about helping students thrive in diverse learning environments.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility) for Michigan
- Prior experience in school settings preferred, with knowledge of IEP processes and relevant documentation
- Strong clinical, collaboration, and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Positive, proactive approach and flexibility to adapt to changing caseload needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Work cooperatively with teachers, special educators, and other school staff to support students’ communication access
- Collaborate with caregivers to support generalization of skills across settings
- Maintain a welcoming therapy environment that supports student engagement and growth
