To succeed in this role, candidates should bring:
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech and Communication Disorders
- Current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Active PELSB certification
- Previous experience or enthusiasm for working with K-5 students in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to foster student success
- Conduct both individual and group speech therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports and IEP data
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team conferences
