Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Current licensure (or ability to obtain) in school-based therapy for Michigan
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and experience with evaluations and goal writing
- Passion for working with school-aged children of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screening, assessment, and diagnostics to evaluate students’ speech and language needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Document progress and complete required reports in accordance with district guidelines
- Provide direct therapy to students both individually and in small group settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education within the field
