Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Acton, California

Make a meaningful impact as a Speech Language Pathologist working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This contract opportunity is based onsite near Acton, CA, supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to provide essential speech and language services, ensuring students develop vital communication skills for academic and social success.
Requirements:
- Active California SLP License or California CTC Credential
- CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred, but strong CFY candidates considered
- Prior experience with pediatric populations in a school or healthcare setting
- Comfort performing evaluations, developing and supporting IEPs, and delivering both direct and indirect therapy services
- Background in teletherapy is helpful but not required for onsite positions
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for students across multiple grade levels
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and IEPs
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students on your caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to support student needs and progress
- Maintain thorough records, documentation, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
This role offers 37.5 hours per week on a contract basis, with a steady, supportive caseload that may fluctuate slightly throughout the school year.
