Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Acton, CA
Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist. This contract position offers the chance to create meaningful impact through both direct and indirect services, evaluations, and IEP development. Working onsite, you’ll collaborate with supportive educators and families to foster communication skills and academic progress in a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students, with scheduling flexibility according to the academic calendar.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP License or CA CTC required
- Experience or strong interest in school-based Speech Language Pathology, including with pediatric populations
- CCC-SLP credential or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in conducting evaluations, developing and implementing IEPs, and delivering both direct and consultative services to students
- Familiarity or comfort with teletherapy technology is a plus
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy, tailored to students’ needs within a vibrant educational environment
- Conducting and interpreting assessments to establish baselines and measure progress
- Participating in multidisciplinary IEP meetings; preparing clear reports and treatment documentation
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapeutic goals into general education settings
- Managing a dynamic, evolving caseload spanning Pre-K to 8th grade
