NEW Open Contract Position for SLPA in the Manassas, VA
Location: Manassas, VA
Caseload Information: Join us for the 2024 and 2025 school year!Seeking out qualified and diligent Speech Language Pathologist Assistants that desire to guide students in an inclusive and collaborative learning setting.
Caseload:
- Collaborate with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in designing development plans for individual students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop an open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to facilitate communication and language development in the classroom and school environment.
- Incorporate activities and use exercises designed to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with the SLP on documenting data collected on student therapy sessions.
- Creating and maintaining an environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field.
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) from the Virginia Department of Education, or eligibility for certification.
- Experience with working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Ability to produce to give high-quality services to students with diverse speech needs.
