Full Time SLPA Position - School Based
Rensselaer, IN
We are actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants for a full-time role with school districts in Rensselaer, Indiana for the upcoming school year. Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program or related field.
- Valid Indiana state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing speech-language pathology services in educational settings.
- Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in conducting assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Implement therapy plans developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist to address students' communication needs.
- Provide direct support to students in individual or small group settings to improve speech and language skills.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report findings to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
