2024-2025 Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Part-time and Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by licensed SLPs
- Providing direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Conducting activities and exercises to support students' speech, language, and communication skills
- Assisting in the preparation and organization of therapy materials
- Supporting students' progress through data collection and documentation
- Collaborating with licensed SLPs, teachers, and parents to support student learning and development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Alabama or eligibility for certification
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or clinical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Passion for working with children and helping them achieve their communication goals
