Work from Home Speech (SLP) Job

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Virginia for a fully remote, 1099 contractor position. In this role, you will play a crucial role in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in students of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Provide teletherapy services to students with various speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' communication and swallowing abilities.
- Provide aural rehabilitation and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Special Education and other administrators.
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active ASHA certification and Virginia state licensure.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a school setting, with previous teletherapy experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Section 504, and other federal and state laws and regulations regarding education and students.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to select and implement a variety of intervention strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
