Warren, MI: Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist
Early Intervention SLP
Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists (Clinical Fellows or ASHA-certified Speech Pathologists) with a passion for working with infants and toddlers who need support in their language and communications development! Soliant is seeking a contract SLP who can support young children being evaluated through the Early On program.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders
- ASHA certificate of clinical competence preferred
- Michigan SLP license (issued by LARA)
Additional information about the team, and the day-to-day operations of Early Intervention will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.
As a education setting SLP, you will:
- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
- Determine eligibility for speech services, and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized education plans (for children with special education needs) and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload.
- Provide reports of children's progress to parents.
- Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
