Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Texas, United States (Remote)
Job Type: Fulltime, Flexible Contract - Work From Home
Pay: $46+/Hour
As a Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication and language development of students in Texas. You will work remotely, utilizing cutting-edge teletherapy technology to deliver individualized speech and language services. This position requires a deep understanding of speech and language disorders, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities using virtual assessment tools.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student goals, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide virtual speech therapy sessions to students using evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the student's educational team to support student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and document student progress through regular progress reports and communication with stakeholders.
- Participate in virtual team meetings, professional development activities, and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a speech-language pathologist, preferably in a school setting.
- Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and virtual assessment tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage caseload effectively in a virtual environment.
- Commitment to cultural competence and providing services that are inclusive and respectful of diverse student populations.
