Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Maryland, Remote
Job Type: Fulltime, Work From Home
Pay: $43/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech and language skills.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide virtual therapy sessions to address speech and language disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' academic success.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Utilize technology effectively to deliver engaging and interactive therapy sessions.
- Participate in virtual meetings, consultations, and professional development activities.
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations, as well as ethical standards outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Maryland state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy capacity.
- Strong understanding of child development, learning theory, and educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using virtual therapy platforms and other technology tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of students effectively.
