Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Remote (Georgia)
Job Type: Fulltime, Next School Year
Pay: $40/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings and student needs.
- Provide virtual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to address speech and language disorders.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to integrate speech and language goals into students' academic activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on students' progress and offer guidance for supporting speech and language development at home.
- Participate in virtual team meetings, professional development activities, and continuing education to stay current on best practices and trends in the field.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and other relevant professional organizations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Georgia state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children with a variety of speech and language disorders.
- Proficiency in using virtual therapy platforms and other technology tools for remote service delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
