Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapy - Concord, California
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, providing in-person services to elementary students (TK-6) at a contract duration ending June 6, 2026. The role supports individualized speech and language assessment and therapy while offering consultative services to school staff. The position reports to the Director of Special Education.

Qualifications
- Active California SLP License
- Demonstrated commitment to serving students with special education needs and their families
- Training and experience in speech and language assessment, evaluation, and consultation
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners
- Familiarity with special education processes, procedures, and disability categories
- Ability to incorporate humor and a positive attitude into the work environment
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in planning and implementing special education identification
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative support to school personnel regarding speech and language diagnosis and remediation
- Conduct screenings and evaluations of speech, language, articulation, and auditory development for referred students
- Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain ongoing communication with staff, families, and healthcare agencies regarding student progress
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students to foster their academic and personal growth
- Assist educational staff in developing appropriate language programs for classroom and community settings
Professional experience in school settings, especially with elementary-aged children, is preferred.
