Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathology (SLP) | San Luis Obispo, California
This opportunity is for a full-time onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) seeking a contract position in a K-12 school setting located in San Luis Obispo, CA. The role covers a full school calendar year with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. This position involves serving students with mild to moderate speech and language needs, excluding those requiring voice (VOCO) services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled speech-language therapy services to K-12 students.
- Implement individualized treatment plans for mild to moderate communication disorders.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance students’ communication skills.
- For Clinical Fellows, coordinate supervision as required for certification purposes.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility/license to practice as a Clinical Fellow.
- Experience delivering speech therapy services in a school environment.
- Ability to manage caseload independently with minimal need for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) support.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within school teams.
