A full-time contract opportunity is available for two licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in Oregon. These positions focus on providing direct speech and language services to students with language impairments within a school setting in Beaverton, OR, including one position supporting a single school and another covering multiple assigned locations within a nearby county.
Location: Beaverton, Oregon
Type: Contract, 1.0 FTE (Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day with unpaid lunch)
Positions:
- Position 1: Dedicated to one school
- Position 2: Multiple site assignments; part-time candidates considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide therapy/intervention services to students with speech and language impairments
- Implement and manage AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) systems tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, service providers, and families to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide coaching and training to staff on effective use of AAC and speech-language techniques within classrooms
- Screen, evaluate, and determine therapy services based on student performance
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
- Complete required documentation, progress monitoring, and Medicaid billing
- Participate actively in team meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to district policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oregon state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working within a school setting providing special education services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with commitment to equity and student-centered outcomes
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
