A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Antioch, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments related to speech, language, articulation, and auditory development.
- Provide individualized therapy and support to students with speech and language impairments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP development and implementation.
- Offer consultative services to school personnel on speech-language concerns and classroom strategies.
- Maintain effective communication with families, school staff, and healthcare agencies about student progress.
- Assist in developing appropriate language programs for classroom and community settings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active California SLP license (SLP - CCC preferred).
- Experience in pediatric settings, particularly schools, and familiarity with special education processes.
- Commitment to supporting students with special education needs and their families.
- Skilled in assessment, evaluation, and consultation with a collaborative approach.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and professional relationship-building.
- Ability to incorporate a positive and engaging atmosphere in the workplace.
